 Anhidrosis

Anhidrosis FactAnhidrosis is defined as the inability to sweat.  Anhidrosis puts suffers at extreme risk of not tolerating heat and can potentially be very dangerous.

Anhidrosis means lack of sweating. It is also known by a number of other names including Adiaphoresis, Ischidrosis, Hypohidrosis:778, Oligidria, Oligohidrosis and Sweating deficiency.

Anhidrosis may be caused by underactivity of the sympathetic nervous system. Eccrine sweat glands are innervated via muscarinic acetylcholine receptors; hence, anti-muscarinic drugs cause anhidrosis
